Why Join FIA?

Joining the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA) is an excellent opportunity to connect with a vibrant community of Asian Indian organizations and individuals working towards the betterment of our community. As a member, you gain access to a platform that amplifies your voice, helps foster cultural exchange, and supports social, educational, and civic initiatives. Being part of FIA means being part of a collective effort to preserve and promote Indian heritage while also contributing to the growth and welfare of the Asian Indian community in Central Ohio.

Membership Types

1. Regular Members

Regular Membership is for Asian Indian organizations that meet the eligibility criteria outlined in Article 4, Section 4.1A. Regular members have voting rights at Board meetings and are represented collectively by the Council of Delegates.

2. Associate Members

Associate Membership is for non-profit Asian Indian religious, political, or business organizations that meet the eligibility criteria in Article 4.1B. While Associate members are not entitled to vote or hold office, they are an important part of the FIA community.

3. Donor Members

Donor Membership is conferred upon individuals or organizations that contribute a minimum of $2,500 to FIA’s aims and objectives. Donor members are exempt from membership dues for life. However, they do not have the right to hold office or vote. Regular Member organizations are not eligible for Donor Membership.

4. Honorary Members

Honorary Membership is granted to individuals or organizations who have made outstanding contributions to the Asian Indian community. Honorary members are exempt from dues and enjoy all privileges of membership except the right to hold office or vote. Regular Member organizations are not eligible for Honorary Membership.

These membership types allow you to choose the level of involvement that best aligns with your organization's goals and commitment to the FIA's mission. Each type of membership contributes to the growth and impact of the FIA in unique and important ways.

Please fill out the FIA Board Member form attached below and send the 501(c)(3) copy to:

  • president@fia-ohio.org

After submitting the form, bring it to the next board meeting to get yourself approved as a board member.

Once your membership is approved, a recurring payment of $100 / year will be required to maintain your membership.
